Find a Certified Appraiser Supervisor with 3+ years experience who will train you for six months, minimum, and gain 1,0000 experience hours inspecting and providing real property appraisal experience. This is the first and most challenging requirement to accomplish. You are recommended NOT to pay for education courses before finding a Certified Appraiser Supervisor.
WHY? Most Certified Appraisers work from home and do not want a stranger coming to their home daily. They have no incentive to train and often consider new trainees more competition that could take away future income. Training is very time-consuming, which reduces a supervisor’s ability to generate income. Finally, limited training tools assist the supervisor in the teaching process.
